Mansfield Community Radio began test broadcasting on April 21^st 1995, and by 21^st October 1998 had obtained its full-time licence and was
transmitting from The Paps, with the call-sign 3MCR on 99.7MHz.

Radio Mansfield is operated by volunteers, and is reliant upon community support, and sponsorship from local businesses.  

The Station offers a varied selection of programs, and often showcases the talents of local and visiting performers, and highlights local events,
news and sport for the enjoyment of the Mansfield Community.

Radio Mansfield studios are located in the High Street, Mansfield.  The shop front studio allows passersby to see the station in "action"
Currently we have forty enthusiastic presenters, and put to air approximately eighty-three hours of locally produced programming.
